Silver Stream 銀流
An-Ting 安婷
Released 1 December 2023
A Sonic Exploration of Emptiness, Inspired by Buddhism and Chinese Landscape Paintings
"Silver Stream 銀流" is a captivating electronic composition that fuses Neo-Classical and Avant-Garde styles. Drawing inspiration from the profound emptiness in Buddhism and the scenic beauty of Chinese landscape paintings (山水畫 shānshuǐ huà), this innovative piece invites contemplation on whether it's a tangible exploration or a voyage of the mind. The electronic soundscape, rich with ethereal tones, blurs the lines between reality and the surreal, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

“The becalmed aquatic field recordings are roused by ill-boding synth tones that slowly but surely whip up a storm, swirling Asiatic strings & sonic spray around the increasingly stressed & powerful electronic swells.”
